“The initial idea was very clear: to recreate the smell of new sneakers with rose. I love these kinds of challenges that require the highest level of creativity because this concept had never been explored before. The challenge was finding the right balance between the scent of new sneakers and rubber soles on one side, and that of a warm, honeyed rose on the other.
To add dynamism to the note and evoke the world of sports, I used mandarin, which I consider one of the most energetic citrus fruits. We then wanted a very powerful base. Oud and patchouli woods are adorned with sandalwood, labdanum resin, smoky, and amber notes.”
