The fascination of contaminations
I have always been fascinated by the contaminations of different cultures, which give rise to new forms – called syncretistic, eclectic: for me, a new deviant wonder.
I remember my fascination with the exotic and mysterious Pseudo-Arabic scriptures in the auras of some Renaissance paintings, centred on figures from the quintessential Christian culture and yet contaminated with a reference to Arab culture.
Or the incredible syncretistic forms such as Greek or Roman temples transformed into Christian churches, or Indo-Islamic architecture, merging two cultures into a new language.

I wanted to return this obsession of mine for contaminations with Encounters, through the combination of two iconic ingredients
of East and West, Iris and Oudh: a moment of contact from which a new creature originates.

You will find the sophisticated sophistication of Iris Butter, with its soft, mysterious powderiness; a material that develops underground to then generate the most lyrical of flowers.

Iris is transfigured by Oudh, a material born from an infection of the Aquilaria tree, which produces one of the most fascinating and complex odours in the range of perfumery ingredients.

Iconic Iris
The Iris is an iconic flower in Western culture. It is the symbol of the city of Florence, in whose countryside one of the most important areas for the cultivation of this flower has developed. The Fleur de Lys has also been a symbol for French kings since the 12th century.

Iconic Oudh is an iconic ingredient in oriental culture, with which it has crucial significance. Derived from an infection of the Aquilaria tree, it is native to South and South-East Asia and parts of the Middle East.
Used for spiritual and religious purposes, it is believed to help elevate the spirit and create a sense of calm and connection with the Divine.
