OLFACTORY DESCRIPTION

Silky Woods Elixir opens in a swirl of green aromas, as lush as the canopy of the agarwood forests where its essence originates. Empowered by the lush sweetness of sun-ripened figs and the earthy green of fig leaves, an overdose of the hypnotic essence of agarwood grown in Australia, in the world’s oldest region, flourishes, intensifying the depth of the composition and painting it in rich shades of mahogany and gold. Renowned for centuries for its exquisite quality and rarity, the precious Assafi Oud elevates the Elixir with a woody opulence. The animalic and amber notes of Oud Assafi, combined with Australian agarwood, create the supreme experience of luxurious and complex Oud on the skin. Against this resonant intensity, iris root lends a delicate touch, softening the bitter effect of the fig leaves, while rose lends an exquisite floral dimension to the developing heart of the perfume. As the Elixir deepens, Tolu balsam weaves a rich tapestry, infusing warmth and complexity into a gourmand base of oud, saffron, musk and oakmoss.

The bottle: Committed to showcasing Australia’s undisputed expertise in botanical research and development, Goldfield & Banks has enshrined this creation in packaging as sumptuous as the fragrance it contains. Each French glass bottle is coated in a rust-coloured lacquer with a chrome finish, in homage to the precious Agarwood found in the dark, secret rainforests of Far North Queensland. Similar to the lush tropical flora, the packaging represents the unparalleled opulence and richness of the fragrances of antiquity.

In the depths of Australia’s ancient and fascinating Daintree Rainforest, where verdant vaults embrace a land thousands of years old, an olfactory treasure is cultivated. Shrouded in mystery, here agarwood (oud) is produced on Australia’s first and only agarwood plantation. This treasure, the dark, resin-scented heart of the Phialophora parasitica-infested Aquilaria trees, oud has a rich, musky, woody-woody, animal-like odour that has been prized for centuries in China, South-East Asia and the Middle East, where the scent of its thick oil is almost ubiquitous.
